This is formally experimental novel about a State Trooper in the thick of the Millennial Depression.
I wrote it back in 2008—right before the Crash—and put it away in a drawer without bothering to look for a publisher: It’s too experimental, too dark, the “comedy” (if you can call it that) too black-as-outer-space to ever find a publisher—which is a pity, because I think it’s pretty good.
Since I’m curious as to the reaction it would get, I’ll post it here on this blog, in chunks of twenty to thirty pages, every Saturday morning until I’ve posted all 305 pages of the thing.
As you can see, on the right hand column of this webpage, there’s the list of the sections that have so far been posted.
Feel free to leave a comment, either here or in the relevant section of pages—the more detailed the better: Go crazy, write away, I want to know what you think of The Trooper.
